So many thoughts cross my mind that I would prefer not be there. I waste so much time focusing on things that I ought not to. God loves us so much that he has literally stepped into our homes (no matter how messy or unlovely they are), and has come down to reason with us on our level (even though we are as dumb as sheep), and made a home with us who seek him in truth. This is Love! So even when my mind strays and I have thoughts I wish I hadn’t, and I focus on cares I shouldn’t, and with every mistake I make- God has me covered! Psalms 91:1 explains to us that those who dwell in the shelter of the most high, will rest in the shadow of the almighty. He’s got you covered! You can rest! Have peace! For his love shelters me and makes me complete. I have no want for anything (Psalm 23:1) for the Lord is my Shepherd! He’s got you covered, hallelujah you are so good to us God. Thank you for loving me, my Savior and my Lord! My prince of peace. I will surely sing of your love forever for your love in unending.
I have an issue with questioning who my future husband will be. I inspect many people who come across my path. I have always been husband focused. I hate this. It is a desire that never meets satisfaction. I believe that everything will work out for my good, even the minor, more pesky challenges that I face. Even this issue I keep having. I believe that God uses this need within me to help me understand that he is my husband. No, I don’t believe it is wrong to remarry and I know I will marry again, but this time I have a new purpose, and that is to please Jesus and have true contentment. Not a life of my own making, but rather of his choosing. As I keep asking, “who is my husband”, I am reminded of the way God showed my heart to me today and revealed to me that he is working on my behalf about diverse things. Then I am once again reminded that God is my husband. What does it mean to call God my husband? It means that he watches out for me. He is faithful to me and is thinking about me. He understands me like no one else can understand me, and he is for me and not against me. He is the best listener. He is the most loyal friend. He is there even when I don’t deserve it. He cherishes me and tells me how much he adores me. He gives me gifts. He is Sovereign and reveals to me that he is in control and that I have to only trust him and obey. God is so Sovereign, when I look upon this I have a deeper need within me met that wants to be submissive. I want to let him lead me. I want to be cared for and loved. I don’t want to be mistreated. God is truly my husband, and I can enjoy this union with him even better than if I was married to a carnal man. Lord, help me forget about this need or put it in its proper place. Amen.
One of my good friends had been saying the same thing over the months, they said, “when our situations settle, everything will fall into place”. I knew exactly what that meant. It means that God has a plan and when all the situations work out, then the pieces that we have been trying to find the proper place for will suddenly fall into place. I have spent so much time trying to force pieces into place, not being content until the puzzle was solved, however being willing to ensure that this occurred even if the final image was bent, torn, and close to the correct size but not right after all. That is called impatience. That is called fear. Fear of not having a completed puzzle, and fear that God will leave me to figure it out on my own. Even though this is something I couldn’t consciously comprehend, that is what was beneath the surface festering, causing me to put together and try to force together pieces of the puzzle that were not meant to fit. This friend also once said to me, “don’t force anything!” That wisdom has never left my mind, and it has since lingered and guided the path that I have been taking since than. So, what will the final outcome be? The truth is that none of know what we will end up being, or what God has in store for us. We couldn’t even fathom or imagine it, the bible tells us this. All we have to do is trust in God. We just need to have a relationship with him, talk to him, and seek him in earnest. Do our best to please him as a wife would do for her husband, a Son for his Father, A daughter for her mother, a husband for his bride, though that is what we are to Jesus. Jesus never got to have a bride. I got to thinking one day that maybe Jesus would have loved a bride. Maybe he would have loved Mary Magdalene or someone else, and maybe that was the need that God intended to satisfy him with and made the church his bride. Maybe that was Jesus secret prize for faithfulness. I am not pretending that that is what the bible said, rather it is just a guess because that is the way God is. He intends on giving us back far more than we could ever expect or give him in return. We are his bride. We are his pride and joy, and our completeness is his eternal joy. That is what is his prize, to see us truly fulfilled. That is what love is. So for this reason we can trust that everything is meant to fall into place for us. It surely will.
Many people associate prospering with having stable finances, or with having loved ones all around them. Though these things can be called prosperity, they are not the same thing as soul prospering. A soul may prosper whether the person is rich or poor. A soul may prosper whether they are loved by many or alone. Soul prospering has nothing to do with our circumstances, or what we have or not have. Though every human being would love to have these types of prosperity, it was not lasting. If your soul prospers based on what is happening around you, then what happens to your soul if circumstances change? Abraham was promised many descendants, yet before he had died he only had two living sons. Yet, he still prospered. Soul prospering comes from the inside out and is based on faith. It is rooted in what God says about you, and what he promises you. Your circumstances can look bleak while someone who isn’t Godly seems to have much prosperity, but as I mentioned, circumstances can change. Even if they never change, one can still have soul prosperity. When a person’s soul prospers, then they have no fear, and they have much joy and peace. It is God’s will that we all prosper, even as our soul prospers. The only way to gain true soul prosperity is to be connected to God, and then the life blood of Jesus flows through our veins giving prosperity to everything. It assures you that you are accepted, loved, and adored. It assures you that God cares about every single thing that concerns you and that he is for you and not against you. It takes all your insecurities away. It changes us from the inside out, where we are free to be ourselves. We can now be naked and unashamed. God wipes all of our tears away. We are known, we are celebrated, and we know without a shadow of a doubt that that will never change. We have a future, and we have a hope, even if it is only for eternity where we will never endure sadness again. Thank you Lord for soul prosperity. Thank you Jesus for dying so that we can live.
Psalm 16:9 “Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure”
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him from them all”
This is the Lord’s personal promise to me in this season of my life. He has quickened it to my heart more than once, and then I’ve read it many times in different places. When I begin to fret about a problem, old or new, I recall this promise. Then I rest again. It only takes a tiny bit of faith to move mountains. It only takes the word of God given to you personally to build your faith. When he says that he will deliver me from everything, I mean he will deliver me from everything. His presence comes upon me and shows me the fine details I get caught up thinking about, and he says to me, “I am going to deliver you from all that concerns you”. How glorious is that promise! How consuming is the delivering fire of the Lord. I am reminded once again, he is going to deliver me from all my cares. Think of a single care, and this is what he said he will deliver you from. Anything that brings an ounce of interest to my mind, he will deliver me from that and make it right. My finances, you are going to deliver me from all my troubles, my home needs, you are going to deliver me from all my troubles, my children and family, you will deliver me from my troubles. My enemies, you will deliver me from all my troubles. Everything that has been done wrong, you will make all things right. All things within my thinking and my feeling, you will deliver me from these things. My relationships, you will deliver me from all my troubles. All the things that are not right without me, you will deliver me from all my troubles. All the things I don’t like in my life, you care and you will deliver me from all these troubles. All those who stand against us, you will deliver me from all my troubles. You see me, and you care about me. You care about everything that concerns me. You see me as beautiful, you have loved me with an all enduing love. You have been faithful to me. Surely goodness, and mercy, will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Hallelujah. You and I are one.
John 10:27-28 KJV “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand”
Don’t be threatened by people or circumstances. Don’t be distracted by the noise. Don’t be distracted by negative emotions or any thoughts that exalt them above God’s truth. Just listen to the Shepherd’s voice. He knows the way. Only one thing has ever been needful. It is to hear his word, and to follow him anywhere he may lead. If he says it is OK, it is OK. If he speaks and says to stop, stop. If he gives you a morsel of word to think on, chew on it and be still as it nourishes your body. He knows the way, you are not an orphan. He will not abandon you or lead you astray. Without him we can accomplish nothing, but allowing him to lead and following him will lead us the right way. Thank the Lord today for giving you the great shepherd to follow. Listen for his voice. What is the Shepherd saying to you today? Lord speak, your child is listening.
Psalm 23:4 KJV “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me”
This is the good news. That God loves me and you. It wasn’t until I began to receive deep revelations of the love he had for me that I started truly overcoming fear. He says, “there is nothing that can separate my love from you” (Romans 8:38-39), absolutely nothing. When I wake up in the morning and I sense his presence and hear his voice in my spirit, I feel loved. When I am convicted, I feel loved. His rod and his staff they comfort me (Psalm 23:4), and when I even think about doing what is right and am upset about doing what is wrong, I feel loved. Nothing can separate me, no judgement spoken against me will make God condemn me. He is always for me, never against me. When You truly understand that there is nothing that can separate you from his love, it will rid you of all fear. Thank you Father for your perfect love that casts out fear.
